Rock The Vote, Day 25: The Bushes

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

George W. Bush is a former Republican President of the United States. He has one wife and two daughters.

According to The Atlantic, since Bush retired from politics, he plans to stay out of it and not endorse anyone. His former staffers wish he would come out as a Joe Biden supporter, however. One CNN opinion piece said that if Bush would endorse Biden, then he would practically win. According to a book about both Bush presidents, neither Bush voted for President Donald Trump in 2016. The elder Bush voted for Hillary Clinton, while the younger Bush didn't vote for either.

Laura Bush, W's wife, wrote an op-ed piece for The Washington Post against Trump's zero-tolerance policy while separating children and their parents at the border.

Jenna Bush Hager, W's daughter, is a co-host on The TODAY Show, and she like her parents and grandparents, is silent on politics. She did, however, like this tweet which says it's hard to moderate a discussion with Trump. And this tweet from comedian Chelsea Handler about Trump "decomposing" himself in real time. Hager is not a member of the Republican party.

The Lincoln Project is a PAC run by Republicans who are against Trump. Stuart Stevens works on the PAC and he worked on W's media team.

I believe the Bushes are voting for Biden.

The election is Nov. 3. Find out where you can vote. Support local journalism to stay informed.
