Rock The Vote, Day 18: Trisha Paytas
Trisha Paytas is a famous YouTuber-turned-porn star, but she started her career as a troll.
There is so much to Paytas that it's hard to write about it in one short paragraph, but she does idolize Andy Kaufman, a "comedian" who was famous for trolling. Paytas has made claims on YouTube that she is transgender and that she has multiple personality disorder. She is regularly involved with drama with other YouTubers and she has even said she's Jewish by insemination because she's dating a Jewish man. She loves fame and has made appearances on several TV shows.
In 2012, Paytas posted a YouTube video claiming she was supporting Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. In the video, she is obviously dumbing herself down and being a troll. Paytas also appeared on Larry King's YouTube show in support of Romney. In 2019, she said in a YouTube video that she was simply trolling for attention.
In that same 2019 video, Paytas said she does not support President Donald Trump even though a photo of her in a Trump shirt was circulating online. She also said in the video that she's never even voted.
In September, Paytas posted a TikTok saying she was voting for presidential nominee Joe Biden.
I do not believe Paytas is voting.
