Rock The Vote, Day 11: Ryan Seacrest

Rock The Vote is an original series, where I make an educated and researched guess on who certain celebrities are voting for Nov. 3, 2020.

Ryan Seacrest, host of American Idol and Live With Kelly and Ryan and his own radio show, is pretty quiet about his political views. I cannot find any hard evidence on who he might vote for in a few weeks.

In 2016, Forbes published an article with who each of their Celebrity 100 list is voting for and they put "unclear" for Seacrest.

In 2012, it was rumored that Seacrest would become a host on the Today Show. Amid these rumors, Seacrest hosted Vice President Joe Biden on his radio show in an effort to look like a more serious host, according to LA Times. Typically, Seacrest is a pop culture host and doesn't dive into politics.

While working on the Golden Globes red carpet in 2017, Seacrest seemed to take a dig at President Donald Trump and fellow TV host Billy Bush. While talking to This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia about salad, Seacrest said, “This is Milo and Ryan locker room talk," according to Page Six. Seacrest's remark seemed to be a reference to a conversation between Bush and Trump, where Trump said he could grab women "by the pussy." Trump called the comment "locker room talk."

Seacrest follows both Trump and Biden on Twitter.

I do not know who Seacrest is voting for. He seems to keep his political opinions to himself. My gut says Biden, however.

The election is Nov. 3. Find out where you can vote. Support local journalism to stay informed.
